Mulch delivered fast

Ordered playground chips. Website was easy to navigate. Delivery came within 3 days. Driver was polite and dropped it where I wanted. Good quality chips. Very happy with the purchase.

Decent service, minor issue

I picked up a yard of shredded cedar mulch for my flower beds. The material quality was good, exactly what I expected. The yard staff were efficient in loading my truck, which I appreciated. However, the online inventory showed they had plenty of gorilla hair mulch, but when I arrived, they told me it was out of stock until next week. It would be helpful if the website updated in real-time to avoid wasted trips. Prices were competitive with other local suppliers. Overall, a satisfactory experience, but the inventory discrepancy was a small frustration. Value for money was fair.

Good soil, delivery a bit slow

I ordered 3 yards of organic compost for my garden beds. The online ordering process was straightforward, and I appreciated the clear descriptions of the different soil types. Delivery took 5 business days, which felt a little long since I'm in Berkeley, but the driver was very professional and placed it exactly where I asked. The compost itself was excellent quality, really rich and dark. My plants are definitely happier. Customer service was helpful when I called to check on the delivery status. Overall, a solid experience, just factor in a few extra days for delivery.

Got my wood chips, no fuss

Needed some wood chips for a path in the backyard. Ordered them online from Bee Green. It was super easy, just picked the amount and paid. They brought them out pretty quick, within a few days. Driver was nice. Chips looked good, no complaints here. Would use them again for sure.

Fantastic pea gravel!

I absolutely love Bee Green! I needed pea gravel for a new patio area and they delivered it so fast. The ordering process was a breeze, and the quality of the gravel was exactly what I was hoping for. The delivery driver was super friendly and careful not to damage my driveway. My patio looks amazing now! I'm already planning my next project and will definitely be ordering from them again. Highly recommend them to anyone in the East Bay!

What's the deal with their dumpster rentals? Are they strictly for contractors or can I get one for a residential cleanout project?

C Carly 1 month ago
Homeowners can totally rent dumpsters from them. My buddy got a 20-yarder for a garage cleanout last month.

P Priya Carter 1 month ago
They have different sizes, even for residential. Just call them up and ask about their roll-off bins.

Hey does anyone know if Bee Green delivers out to Richmond? Trying to figure out if I need to borrow a truck.

S Sophie 2 months ago
Yeah they deliver to Berkeley and San Leandro for sure, so Richmond should be fine. I'd just call and double check their delivery zone for a specific address though.

They delivered to my place in El Cerrito last spring. Pretty sure they cover most of the East Bay.

Does Bee Green ever have sales on their landscaping materials, like for mulch or soil? Or is it mostly just volume pricing?

E Elena M. 2 months ago
They do sometimes, especially around spring or Earth Day. I've seen 'seasonal landscape sales' mentioned.

S Sarah 2 months ago
Yeah, I think I got a little discount on some mulch around April last year. Keep an eye on their site or sign up for emails if they have them.

Comparing Bee Green vs. Lyngso for river rock. Any thoughts on pricing or quality difference?

M Mark Ito 2 months ago
Bee Green's pricing on bulk rock is usually pretty competitive, especially if you're picking up or getting a decent delivery amount. Quality is good too.

L Lisa 2 months ago
I've bought from both, and Bee Green was a bit cheaper for the same type of river rock when I compared them for a big project. Both had good quality though.

Are those contractor discounts decent? Thinking of getting a bunch of material for a big landscaping job and comparing them to Home Depot.

T Tara 1 month ago
Oh yeah, if you're getting volume, their contractor pricing is usually way better than Home Depot's regular prices for bulk stuff. Worth looking into.

I get like 10-15% off on larger orders with my account, which adds up. Definitely check with them.

Is Bee Green open to regular people or just contractors? I need some topsoil for my garden but don't have a business license.

L Lisa Whitfield 2 months ago
Totally open to the public! I get stuff there all the time for my backyard. No problem.

You're good, I picked up some gravel there a few weeks ago for a DIY project. No contractor account needed.

Anyone know how big a minimum order for bulk delivery is? Just need a yard or two of mulch, don't want to over-order.

J Julia Ito 2 months ago
I think it's usually 2 yards for delivery, but sometimes they'll do 1 if you're close by. Best to call them directly.

S Shane Marsh 2 months ago
For my compost delivery last year it was 2 cubic yards minimum. Not sure if that applies to everything though.

Has anyone used their recycled paint? Wondering if it's actually good quality for an exterior fence or if it's super thin.

C Chris J. 1 month ago
I used their exterior recycled paint for my shed and it worked great. Good coverage, held up fine. Definitely worth it for the price.

My neighbor used it for his deck railing and it looked decent. Not like premium brand paint, but totally fine for less critical stuff.
